Me and my girlfriend had arrived into cairo in the early hours of the morning, and the owner mustaffa very kindly allowed us to get checked in early and when in a new place your not familiar with that really made us feel at ease. He also gave us great advice and assisted us with booking some tours which were fantastic! The staff in the hotel are so friendly and really made us feel safe and at home. We had a lovely Turkish coffee most mornings and the aircon worked wonders. The location is opposite the bank, which is ideal when you have only arrived with some dollars with you, it has local shops right next door which was so handy for us.I loved the hotel for it's authentic traditional look and location as it really gave you a proper feel for egypt 🇪🇬 it is within 10minutes of the nile and very close to other attractions such as the museum and numerous places to eat.We are going backpacking next year and this gave us a taste of what it could be like but in far better conditions. I would highly recommend staying here as your base for your sightseeing adventure. I would like to thank the hotel once again for making our first trip to cairo one to remember.

Reception staff Mr Tahmer and Mr David is helpful and I arrived earlier than official check in time however not being hold since they have availability and check me in straight away. Was escorted to the hotel by Mr Tahmer and got a ride with traditional small elevator which I have seen only in movie most of the time feel like the scene of The Grand Budapest. Hotel itself is on second floor and close to street so noise wise is there however got a room behind the street so less noise not completely without and is fine understandable. Egyptian Museum is in walking distance same to some coffee shop or restaurants also groceries if you need as well money exchange office. Have extended my stay for another night last minute and they make it possible without room move. Appreciate tons of effort they given.

My stay at the hotel was very delighful that i even booked it twice. Not only is it located in the downtown which means all of historical cairo is within a walking distance , but also the staff is very accomodating. The owner and his sister Ms Ibtissam are very helpful and welcoming , they really made me feel like home. The atmosphere here is more of a boutique hotel where all of the staff knows everyone, and this honestly is what makes this hotel special. I highly recommend people staying here

The location was in centre.very close to the city and many tourist spots, food joints, shopping points, very supportive staffs, who are there to help you with your trips, food or anything else. They try their best to keep us good and comfortable. The lift was vintage, and a must experience one. Do go out of your regular hotel stays to experience the Egyptian style stay, Only drawback was the Western style washrooms with glass for us. But its not a big deal

Lulu

Got the early check in and was welcome by Mr Tamer also this time. Second ride on the ancient kind of elevator. Warm hospitality as usual and no formalities needed check in very seamless. Not able to have the same room like last time however not a big deal for short stay. Breakfast is simple yet filling as well eggs by Mrs Ebtsam while hot water for shower doesn’t happen as frequent like last stay. Mohamed is entertaining and nice to chat with.
